Everlasting Food

Image result for fish and loaves bible

Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
John 6:29 / John 5:36

In this passage, people following Him, who had just seen the miracles Jesus performed. They followed Jesus because previously they ate the loaves and the fish (5000 people miracle) and were filled.

Jesus urged them not to follow earthly food, which will perish but to pursue everlasting food, enduring everlasting life. Which they will receive from Jesus because the Father has purposed it.

And Jesus said that He would only do what the Father told Him to do.

Here we see that the works of God are for men to see and believe in Him (Jesus) whom the Father has sent. And in turn, we are called to this also:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

John 14:12

We are sent as well as believers. We have a light, that should not be hidden under a bushel. We are walking in the authority of Jesus and therefore can pray and see the works of God mentioned in the scriptures.

Let's be bold and petition all heavens to see men touched by the love and hand of God. All for the purpose of winning them into the Kingdom of God, forever.

Father, help us to be as bold as Jesus was. Help us to hear and know to pray effectively.

Father, we know that you hear us and love us, answering our prayers so that You may be glorified. In Jesus' name AMEN

That's all for today, farewell until next time.

Perfect Peace - The Peace of Christ

Image result for peace

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose mind is steadfast because they trust in You."
Isaiah 26:3

Peace to me is the most valuable commodity.
I know how it is to live without inner peace. Not being anchored in Christ.

Without the peace of Christ, I cannot hear the Holy Spirit well. Therefore, my path will not be clear to me.

Not having the peace of Christ, I am not able to let God's love work through me. Neither will I be able to bring His peace to others.  I have to make the decision to focus on Jesus, the light of the world.

One of my favorite moments is praying with others, especially praying for the peace of Christ to surround them. I can just feel peace falling on us. That is the best place to be in, being assured that all is well and God knows. Even though the Word assures us that, it is good to feel His peace.

"Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing can make them stumble"
Psalm 119:165

Are you anxious today?
Worrying about what you are no able to see?

Ask God for His peace and allow Him to remove all fear and worry from your life. Fear is a spirit and when turned into worry it becomes a sin.

Why don't you ask Him to forgive you, if worry has gripped your life. He then can bless you with the peace of Christ that surpasses ALL understanding?

God is faithful and loves you with an everlasting love. Never turn away from Him if you are in need of peace.

Father, thank You for making a way for us to experience Your peace, which no one can take from us. By the sacrifice of Christ Jesus, Your son.

No broken bones!

"I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved."
Psalm 16:18

Last night, I have seen it again; not being moved. While walking in my dark hallway from the living room toward the bedroom.

Previously, I put up a wooden gate in the doorway, I forgot it was there. So, I walked full force into the gate. Hitting my head on the concrete floor. I was sure my head was bloody and my leg would have been broken. Because I hit this gate so very hard.

But nothing, I had a large bump and a scraped up chin. The bump actually went down quickly with an icepack on it. This should have ended up in a trip to the hospital with a broken leg. But I felt very strongly, that I was under the protection of God. And I thanked Him for it.

Bad things happen to all of us, whether we are saved by Grace or not. We live in a world that has been fallen from God's Grace because of the disobedience by Adam and Eve!

But one of the benefits of God, being under His Lordship, is protection. Today, I am not hurting a lot. Just sore. But this could very well ended up worse.

During my years of walking with the Lord, I have seen His protection on my life many times. But there were times, when I doubted and suffered the consequences.

To sum up the headline of my life: It is filled with God's faithfulness. Whether I was aware of it or not.

My prayer today: Father help us to see; Help us to hear; So that we can stand on your promise of protection. and all other promises and not doubting. In Jesus' Name; AMEN.

Help.... I am stuck in lack!

Lack - something needed,  that isn't there.
Have you ever found yourself lacking something?
I guess we all have at some point in life.

Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.

     The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall NOT lack any good thing.
Psalm 34:9-10

This scripture basically sums it all up. When we look for the Lord, we SHALL not lack!

I don't know about you , but I have had a season in life, struggling with making sense of things missing in my life. Surely, you have been there!

"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3

There are quite a few things we don't know; don't know about God and His ways. Why are we so dead set on relying on our own understanding? There are many reasons for it.
I assume they would mainly be pride and fear.

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and

supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be

made known to God; and the peace of God, which

surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and

minds through Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:6-7

It takes exercising this truth to make it a habit and live a life of peace. Even in the midst of total chaos and danger.

As followers of Christ a mindset of lack is not necessary. We may be stuck in thinking, we experience lack but the Word of God is very clear on how to prevent lack. And therefore get unstuck.

Now, I am not speaking about all kind of stuff that we desire and is not in God's Will for us. I am speaking about the promises of God, He has for us as an individual. Meeting our needs and desires He has planted in our hearts.

"Call upon Me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”
Psalm 50:15

Next time you find yourself feeling lacking, remember these and other parts in God's Word and the truth shall set you free and unstuck!

My Prayer today

Thank You Father, for giving us Your promises. Thank you Father for being a faithful God, providing ALL we could ever need. Thank you for bridging the gap of sin between us by Your son's death and resurrection.
In Jesus' Name we pray.
AMEN

Until next time, exercise the truth!!

The Sparrow has value, but we have more!

“Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Luke 12:6-7

Our value in God's mind - is so much more than what we imagine. He sent His only begotten son to die for our sins....once and for all, Jesus!

Will He not take care of our need and even our desires, which are His and are already planted into our heart according to His will??

Take some time today and reflect on the marvelous things God has done for you in the past. And ask Him to envision Him as your helper, protector, deliverer and whatever else you are in need of.

Father, we are asking today for our Grace and Mercy. Help us to see You for who You are, to us. Help us to focus on You and Your son Jesus Christ. Help us to be thankful and praising You even in the midst of troubles. Help us to cheer up, for You Jesus have overcome this world. In Your name, we pray. AMEN
