Overcoming is possible!!

You know when you have a day from.......not a nice place, and you just want to crawl into a corner and let life pass you by.

I had an afternoon like that yesterday. It has been getting worse by having yet another nightmare. Two nights in a row.

So this morning, I just wanted to call off work and disappear. But wait, that is not God's way, most of the time anyway. I heard His still small voice saying: Wait and see! And in an instant my joy and peace has been restored. I proceeded with work and it has been a wonderful experience.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Galatians 5:22

God says: Call on me and I will answer. Well, I needed some help in calling upon the Lord this morning, in shape of a wonderful friend. But He heard us. And He turned my sadness into joy and peace. This means that Jesus is giving of Himself, because He is Joy and Peace.

And also, it creates thankfulness and gladness to know that God can, will and wants to turn our dark times into something beautiful.

My heart today is overflowing with His goodness.

My prayer today: Father help us to turn to You in times of need and pain. Help us to trust ourselves to others who are Your followers as well, so that they may pray and intercede for us. Jesus, thank you for giving Yourself to us.
