F.E.A.R. Forefiting Everything And Running

Have you ever had aspirations to be like
Robin Hood, saving the poor?
Stealing from the wicked rich and giving to the humble poor?
Not being afraid, but having a heart filled with courage!
Image result for robin hood

Well, as I grew up I became fascinated with books and movies that supported such storyline. For the obvious reasons.

What makes people live a life of fear?

FEAR: Forefiting Everything And Running

The kind of fear that is no good, unproductive and cripples us. This fear that is built on lies from an enemy who seeks to steal from us, destroy and to kill us. This fear that robs us of our God-given vision.

Fear has been a constant companion most of my life. People doing the dirty work for the enemy of our soul, satan, have nurtured the anger in me and a fearful lifestyle.

Now I am not talking about this kind of fear:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Prov. 1:7

This kind of fear is the good kind!

This kind of fear is NO good:

When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said and cried out in fear. Matthew 14:26

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

So we see here that fear is a spirit (not the good kind) And what do we do with the "not good kind"? We cast is out and allow God to infuse us with His Love. So that we gain a sound mind.

Why then is our adversary so keen on making us afraid? Just think what we are capable of when not being afraid, intimated,

Not being afraid to venture out as Peter, walking on water. Or when confronted with demons, casting them out in the Name of Jesus. Or perhaps, not worrying where our next meal comes from but helping the poor. Not being afraid of praying for healing for the sick.....Do you get my point??

These are not fairy tale options, these are REAL options for us to chose and fulfill. Because God's love is in us, around us we can do marvelous, supernatural things. Without being afraid, we are free to love God, trust Him and let Him love us.

Before Jesus left this earth, after being resurrected, He said to His disciples: When I leave you will do greater things than what I have done......Wow, can you imagine? Greater things that than what Jesus did while being on earth?

I wonder what comes to your mind when reading the last statement? Fear? Doubt? Unbelieve? Anger? Or does it inspire courage?

Courage is the opposite of fear and this is the Word:
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

But in everything, we are not able to enter into a fearless life without the power of the Holy Spirit and the healing of our souls and hearts. Unfortunately, we are all going through difficult times and situations. Which can hinder our courage building and infuse our hearts with fear?

As Philippians 4:13 says, through Christ, we can do ALL things........

......Are you in Christ today?  Would you like to live a fearless life? Accept Jesus into your heart and let Him be the Savior and Lord of your life. Turn yourself completely over to Him, even if you have accepted Christ, maybe a long time ago.

It will not be an overnight change. To become fearless takes the appropriate time. Robin Hood did not save the poor overnight.

But all of us in Christ have the ability to move from Glory to Glory in Him and become FEARLESS WARRIORS for CHRIST.

My prayer today: Father, makes us more and more like Jesus. Fearless and completely surrendered to YOU. So we become fearless and are able to see YOUR promises to us.

Be well and prosperous, until next time.

TRUTH

The work of the Holy Spirit
John 16:7-13
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

Even though Jesus said He did not come to judge the world, the Holy Spirit does. It is important to read the Word of God in its fullness to understand the truth of God's Word. In this part of the scripture is clearly states that the Holy Spirit leads us into ALL TRUTH!

Often, I hear scripture taken out of context and it makes me cringe. We are so eager to bend the truth, fitting it into our little plans.

This has been a vital part in my life, to overcome. Since childhood, I had to listen to so many lies about myself and life. It seemed almost impossible to see the truth in it. Overcoming lies, is what Paul said to be important: Be transformed in your mind and be NOT transformed to this world.

Our mind will always play tricks on us if we let it. Infused by demonic lies and deceit.

John 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Problem and answer in one sentence! Jesus IS the answer to all problems!

My prayer today: Father, reveal to us the lies we believe, especially about ourselves. Forgive our ignorance, Holy Spirit: thank you for leading us into all truth.

Until next time, be well and prosperous.

Stiff necked people

Image result for cartoon of Someone reading

A few weeks ago, I found myself confronted with someone's opinion about this blog. This reader said: "Your blog is self centered and irrelevant."
Wow, this reader really missed the point completely.  But I do understand.

I found the phrase stiff necked  9 times in the Bible. Mostly in the Old Testament. Unrealistic was one synonym, pigheaded another.

I wonder how many times people read the Bible thinking it is irrelevant? It proves that without the understanding of the Holy Spirit, we don't really understand it. The Holy Spirit is the power of God to help us understand what God is saying to the church. And what He is saying to 'us' personally.

We have to be surrendered to God every day, not just that one time when we received Christ as Lord and Savior in order to receive the benefit of the Holy Spirit.

So my prayer today: Lord, never let me (us) be a stiff necked people EVER! Lead me (us) by Your Holy Spirit into understanding and Your wisdom.

Until next time, may the peace of God surround you.

Be still my soul

Truly, my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation! Psalm 62:1

My soul/heart is at peace this morning, because:
-He has been healing it.
-He has been faithful to me......

.....This is one of the most important ways to gain trust, when our ability to trust has been distorted by the enemy. God knows how to heal our broken soul/heart. He can put it back together again.

God puts a great emphasis on us keeping our oath/promise made. So, that we do not participate in the enemy's plan to undermine our ability to trust God. When we cannot trust men, we often don't trust God.

David in his psalms often quotes the condition of his soul and the importance of waiting on God's deliverance from dire circumstances. The enemy is after our soul, but if our soul prospers in God's ways for us, then everything else will prosper in our lives too.

My prayer today is, that I (we) declare to wait silently [in my (our) soul/heart] for God; my (our) salvation comes from Him alone.

My suggestion for a great song to listen to:
Rita Springer (Gateway Worship)  Every battle
This song is a declaration and gives great comfort.

Friends, this is all for today. Remember to leave your prayer request in the comment section. Farewell until next time.

Truth....dare you to find it.

Instructions for Christian Living

17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.
20 That, however, is not the way of life you learned 21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”[d]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

These verses written to the Ephesians tell us so much on how to deal with each other, the Body of Christ. But especially when conflict and sin creeps up. And how to approach one another.

Many teachers, pastors these days have us believe that we should never address sin in our neighbor, never address conflict in the body of Christ. WRONG on so many levels. This passage even tells us how to deal with our anger toward each other. So to be angry, something must have happened to cause the anger. We ought to be  a mirror to each other. We ought to not be offended so easily and build trust, in order to receive healing but speaking the truth or being spoken truth to, in Love.

There is so much false teaching out there in pulpit land, but not limited to that  place. We often quote phrases as the truth of the Word and its nowhere to be found. What deception we place ourselves under by doing so, without checking the (facts) truth of the word.

It takes dedication, like in any activity important to us, to understand the Word of God. But we must not be discouraging to ourselves by thinking, we ought to be scholars. FAR from the truth right there. Reading a short passage IN CONTEXT daily will be sufficient to start with. The Holy Spirit has been left for us to be our teacher among other great personally trades, so that we CAN understand the Word of God. He gives us the power and wisdom to understand.

Learning on who God is in 3 persons; Learning about the Word of God shouldn't be looked at as chore, but rather finding out more about the Beloved. Falling in love with God and His Word to us, is the greatest ADVENTURE ever!

A teller working at the bank studies the real dollar to spot a fake one on sight. That is how it must be for us to spot false teaching.

My prayer today: Father help us to discipline (train) ourselves in reading of Your Word to us, daily. Holy Spirit, we are asking for Your power to understand and walk in the truth of the Word.

This is what was on my heart today and I bid you farewell until next time.

Please leave your prayer request in the comment section if you may.

Black or White and in between

I have always been a person seeing life either black or white. It is hard for me to see anything in between. We are all wired differently in our brains. I find though that the Word often speaks about letting our Yes be Yes and No be No:

But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. Matthew 5:34-37

This is speaking of making an oath. God is very specific about making commitments. It is His nature. He is very, very committed to us, even beyond the existence of this earth.

Living a simple life rather than cluttering up our minds has many benefits. And NO, we don't have to be in fear of missing out. Often, our schedules are cluttered because we are not trusting God to provide for us through the little we can produce when living a simple life.

I am a seer and when I read about the prophets in the Old Testament, they were rather simple. Either they lived like God expected them or not. They saw the world in black or white.

It is really not whether some people are complex in their giftings/personality or not. Living a simple life is about setting a few goals that are ATTAINABLE rather than going on the road of perfectionism! Surrounding ourselves with just a few people who are encouraging, promoting our God given purpose and are safe/trustworthy, is far more productive than trying to hold up our part inside the "in crowd".

Moms with school aged children are tempted the most, I believe.

What moves us to perform to the utmost until we pass out?? I assume its overachieving to gain material wealth and a lack of trust in God to provide for us all we need.

Trust me, it takes one to know one. LOL

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 1Tim. 6:17

This speaks not only of what we need but 'FOR OUR ENJOYMENT' also. I always struggled with that. Is He only providing for our basic needs or more? Well, here it tells us, even for more.

Although, we do need to be in right standing with the acceptance of Jesus Christ in our lives in order to obtain all blessings.

My prayer today: Father, help us to understand and believe that You provide for us ALWAYS if we put our trust in you. Jesus has paid the price for our inheritance into Your Kingdom therefore, we are joint heirs with Christ and You will NOT EVER leave us nor forsake us.

This will be it for today. Until next time, farewell and good bye.

Please leave your prayer requests. Thank you.

Moved by Compassion

As I am reading about writers, they sometimes finding themselves in a  "block", so did I for a little while. Or maybe it just took time to finally put on paper today, what God put in my heart for the last few weeks.

Compassion

Matthew 9:35-36
Matthew 14:14
Matthew 15:32
Luke 7:13 and many other scriptures speak about Jesus having compassion toward people.

What does the word compassion mean in the Bible?
The Hebrew and Greek words translated “compassion” in the Bible mean “to have mercy, to feel sympathy and to have pity.
The word compassion shows up at least 41 times in the King James version. That is a significant number mentioning 'compassion', so we should look at this more closely.

Recently, I found myself in a public office setting standing in line, waiting for my turn.
I decided, I would pray for the people in line. There were quiet a few. I prayed quietly in my head as all over sudden, I had this sense that God the Father showed me how much compassion He had for these people. I was somewhat overwhelmed about this feeling of compassion I experienced.
Then, I could feel the Love He had for them. I carefully looked around, trying to get a glimpse of their faces, and wondered what their struggles are.
One young man particularly caught my attention. I had a sense of him desperately needing something, so I prayed accordingly for him. At this point, I just wanted to hug all of them. Well, I didn't.

I can only imagine how overwhelmed Jesus must have been with compassion toward the people He came across. He, by the wisdom of His Father, was able to discern the content of their hearts.

We can too. Often by asking question and listening very well to the people we meet. We can also get a heavenly understanding on what is in a persons heart by supernatural revelation through the Holy Spirit.

It is called: Wisdom, a prophetic inside.

I have often been moved by compassion to interact with people. A gift the Father chose to give me. But all of us should be moved by compassion. Especially with are brothers and sisters in Christ. But not only limited to that fact, as well being compassionate toward the unbelievers. Jesus was compassionate toward all!
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To console those who mourn in Zion,

To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:1-3

This is what Jesus came here for and this is what we need to do!
There is just no way around. It is our ability to be moved by compassion that will allow God to reconcile men to Him. His Love and compassion is why men still exist!

And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
Genesis 6:6

Wow, if this statement doesn't get you going...People grieved His heart and are doing it ever since.
Next time you find yourself in a public setting of waiting, pick at least one person and maybe start praying for them. Allow God to lead you with whatever He wants to accomplish for this person at that moment in time. It may be that you should speak an encouraging word to this person. Give of your money or even speak of Jesus and what He has done for you. There is NO limit on how we can be used by God if we allow Him to move through us by His compassion, which then becomes our compassion.

Today my prayer is: Father, fill us with YOUR compassion as YOU filled the heart of Jesus, when He was walking on this earth, going about doing good, doing YOUR will!

This will be all for today........be blessed. Until next time.

Which spirit is it?

Discernment of spirits........

......A topic that many shy away from.

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. 1John 4:1-6

You see, it is not that difficult to know which spirit is communicating with us. Where there is manipulation, confusion, corruption, self exhortation as well as the absence of peace etc. there is not the Spirit of God. Because He, God is not the author of confusion nor of any of the attributes which take us away from HIM.

The problem is not so much with recognizing spirits but more with a prideful attitude. What do I mean by this?

Well, we are unfortunately so sure that we know all, can do all. Therefore, pride and deception will make it impossible to discern.  But if we worship God for who He is and how great He is, we become humble and see with His eyes. And are able to discern correctly.

In this electronic age, we have the world available on our fingertips. Seeing and receiving many messages per day. Being bombarded by voices who desire our attention. Without stopping and/or coming to a complete halt sometimes, rejecting those overwhelming influences, we are unable to judge which is what.
There is no need to be afraid of spirits. After all the scripture tell us clearly that we have OVERCOME them! Because of who is in us is greater than he who is in this world. Meaning God is greater in us than satan in this world, even with all his many helpers called demonic beings.

We have the authority, given by Jesus Himself before descending into heaven, to cast out demonic spirits amongst other things.

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 14:12

If Jesus casted out demons, therefore we also are expected to cast out demons. But to do so we need to be equipped with the Holy Spirit. Which is the third part of the Godhead. He, the Holy Spirit gives us power to do just that. By being grounded in God's word and teachings of Jesus, we can do anything He did while walking on this earth. And even greater!!

This new age philosophy of old and new in these times CANNOT stand against the Word and nor theWill of God. Nothing can stand against the Creator of this universe!! And if He is for us, than who can be against us??

Be confident that casting out demons is just as an important practice as praying for healing, provision etc. But it has to be done with GREAT discernment.

How do we cast out demons you may ask? By declaring who Jesus is in us and by His authority given to us. By the blood of Jesus Christ,  casting out a demon telling him where he belongs. Into the dark, dry place of hell.
One may have to be more persistent and repeat.

In any case, it is more important what we believe to be true when casting out a demon rather than how loud we say the words.

...and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was. Mark 1:34

The demons know who Jesus is! And they certainly will know if we know and believe who Jesus is, especially who we are IN HIM and who He is in us. It is by the truth, power, death and resurrection of Christ that we can do this. There is no power in our flesh.

I have found at least 25 verses that deal with casting out demons in the New Testament. Therefore, we cannot pick and choose which subjects we want to leave out of the Bible. It is all prevalent today as it was then. God does not change, He is, was and will be the same!

Father, today my prayer is: Revive Your gift of discernment in us, to know the spirits before us. Help us not to shy away but rather take the bull by its horns, so to speak. Help us to walk without fear, fully engulfed in Your power, Jesus.

Once again. Let's part with blessings until next time.

Behind the Scenes? Really? I can't see anything.

Most of us have probably heard of the term: working behind the scene.

Often, when we are in seasons of dryness and mundane every day life and we don't necessarily see the hand of God move. Maybe in our prayer time a little, maybe sporadically here and there. But "the dessert" experience in our walk with God is often quiet and ....just DRY!

The truth though is: God works behind the scene! He makes all things work together for our good, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28

He takes what needs to be put together and creates a beautiful puzzle picture, displaying the plan He has for our lives. These puzzle pieces come along side of us by  His provision.
For example: the people we meet along the way, the place we live, the church congregations we attend, the jobs we hold and so on. Nothing is happening by chance, it is all a part of His plan for us to fulfill our part in the Kingdom of God: Love God, saving souls and disciple people.

My experience is that some of those puzzle pieces may not make sense on their own. But put together they are a glorious display of Him. His love for us, His plan and tapestry He displays of Himself to us.

So let's not get discouraged in well doing, in pursuing the heart of the Father. Let's keep our EYES on Jesus, continue to walk on water by faith. And in case we take the wrong step, let's allow Him to rescue us.
Hebrew 12:2
Matthew 14:28-32

Father, help us to stay focused on Jesus! AMEN

That is all for today, farewell and good bye. Until next time and leave your prayer request.

Rest in Me....says the Lord!

REST.....awh that sounds so good.

We are asked to enter the Rest of God. Meaning, we are asked to trust Him and rely on Him. We are asked to follow Him in the ways He has already prepared for us.

And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14

God is with us throughout every battle, giving us direction on where to go and turn. He promises us that we will never be alone. We need to abide in His presence and follow His guidance. This will give us rest. Knowing and believing His word will give us rest.
Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. Hebrews 4:1

The rest of God is a promise! We have access to it. But as with many other promises of God, we have to believe it to be true.
There is such a thing as going through crisis, chaos and being  in perfect peace; by abiding in the rest of God.

[ Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God ] He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

We are hidden under the shadow of the Almighty.....how big can this shadow be? Well, glad you asked. It is HUGE!
God is very big and a shadow tends to be bigger than the actual object. So, there you have it.....you will be covered from all sides if you abide in His shadow.
Once again, let that sink into your heart!!

My prayer today: Father, help us to abide in Your rest! Every second, every minute. Day and night. Keep us under Your shadow for safekeeping. In Jesus' name I pray.

That's all for today. Farewell until next time. Don't forget to leave your prayer request.

Never, ever be alone!

How many of us have ever found themselves as a child in a store or anywhere else, realizing that our parent was not near?
Such panic arises, such fear of being lost.

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrew 13:5

Paul is talking to believers about good acts and being content with what they had.  Keeping themselves free from sin and following God's ways in order to receive blessings from God and man. Striving in putting away sin altogether from our lives.

Therefore, with God, we have a promise that we will NEVER be alone. He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us.

This morning, I experienced a moment of letting this truth sink into my heart. It almost felt as if this truth "anchored" deep into my heart. Up to this moment, I struggled with the fact that if I mess up, He (God) will leave me for a moment and I will have to suffer the consequences for a moment. And that moment in His timing can take a while sometimes.

Yes, I made a mistake in the last few days but He did not leave me, nor forsook me. Because God loves me so much that He sent His only son for me to die. God loves me wildly and passionately. Pursuing me to the ends of this earth. I am under the blood of Jesus and therefore I am safe in His hands.

Picture yourself, being in the hands of God. Holding you whenever panic or fear arises.
When the enemy of our heart is telling you this lie: "You have been left behind by God and anyone!" NOT TRUE! The Bible says, He (Jesus) is nearer than a brother to us. David says that even if we make our bed in Hell, He (God) is there.

Believe that God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit are madly in love with you and that they will protect you in every circumstance of your life, never stop loving you and providing for you.

I pray that from [the Father's] glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love.

Ephesians 3:16-18

My prayer today: Father let this truth about Your love for us sink deeply into our heart. Help us to understand.

That's all I wanted to share today. Be safe until next time.
Don't forget to list your prayer request.

A Word for all of us

This is a word from the Lord for all of us in this season

Another door has opened now to enter deeper into worship and the
presence of God.

An invitation to partake in this relationship with God and knowing
that He has overcome this world and its troubles.
We are invited to see the greatness, goodness and power of God in a
deeper way.

Don't hold back, don't hide behind shame, fear or anything else that
is not of God.

Come out into the light and enjoy this great and mighty God who
has given His only son to die for you. Accept Jesus into your heart
and live. Then your eternity is safe!
He is your refuge and your strength in times of trouble.

Let this sink in and spend time with the Lord to be able to receive

all He has for you.

Farewell until next time. Leave your prayer request.

Forgive, to receive!

Have you ever done something wrong to someone and regretted it. Or have you ever been on the receiving end of someone's wrong doing. Of course, we all have.

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13

This verse is so vital in maintaining great relationships. Forgiving one another to receive all the Father has for us. Don't hold wrong doing from someone in your heart. We drink the poison of it when holding on to the person, holding the him/her in the prison of retaliation and unforgiveness.

Living in peace is my most priced possession next to His love. No turmoil in my heart and soul. Jesus promised that He would leave His peace with us, at the time of His departure, to be with the Father. He promised that no one could take this from us. So let's not give it up by not forgiving.

If you find yourself not experiencing this peace I described, ask God for the reason why not. Ask Him to reveal the blockage.
What is hindering you from living a full life, God promises to us?

Father, my prayer today: Grant us the grace to forgive and live in peace to the fullest.

So long for today, may your day be filled with God's blessings and don't forget to leave your prayer request.

Victory....through the Power and Blood of Christ

Over and over I hear testimonies of victory. And I can never get enough of hearing about God's faithfulness. People coming out of unimaginable circumstances. We as people are made to overcome. We are made in the image of God and therefore have all we need to live a supernatural life. Not in our strength but in the power of God.

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. 1 Corinth. 4:20

Moses said to the Lord, “Then the Egyptians will hear about it! By your power you brought these people up from among them. Numbers 14:13

The story about Moses and the Israelites marching through the Dead Sea, divided by God is probably one of the most known event. But the same power dividing the Dead Sea is the same power who raised Jesus from the dead. The same power healing Saul's blindness and turning him into Paul of Damascus, greatest Evangelist ever.

This God. who loves us soooo much that He would sacrifice His own son for us, is a mighty warrior. He is in charge of the universe and He is fighting our battles, bringing us to victory. Jesus is our victory!

So, take inventory of your life today and bring out your toughest circumstances. Line them all up for God to see. Yes, line them all up and ask God to bring you the victory in each of these issues.
By the way, He already has all the answers and solutions for your problems. But He does want us to lay the good, bad and the ugly all at  His feet, the feet of Jesus. So that we can see what this mighty God can and wants to do for us. Ultimately, so that He gets all the Glory and Honor from us.

Let's not shrug back, let's not try to hide what is difficult for us to bear. Let's not pretend all is well, but let Jesus shine the light into our darkness. HE is our answer! HE is our life! HE is our salvation and provision.

Then go and share the victory with others. Boasting on God and His great love for us.

My prayer today: Father, help us to be transparent with You and let us see You in all of You Glory. Being the light to others helping, them to overcome by Your blood Jesus and our testimony.

Until next time, be well and good bye and don't forget to leave your prayer request.

Connection....what for?

The Church..... a bunch of hypocrites? Not hardly.

The church is made up of people from every background bound together by one belief: Believing in Jesus; born to a virgin, being the son of God, dying on the cross and being raised to life again after the 3rd day. Coming out of the tomb, ALIVE.

God's purpose for the church is foremost to function!
By encouraging each other to use their gifts in the Spirit, being the family of God, protecting and encouraging each other and fellowshipping with God.

On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. Acts 14:27

And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues 1Chor. 12:28

[ Dealing With Sin in the Church ] “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. Matthew 18:15

If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. Matthew 18:17

The Church is the body of Christ and cannot function properly with parts missing. We don't want the church to wobble and be unleveled. So don't be the missing part.

God has put us together and even placed us in families to receive the blessings and protection thereof.
Not attending church services and not being in fellowship with other believers will cause us to go backwards in our faith, due to a lack  of proper spiritual support. Faith grows by hearing of the Word of God and overcoming obstacles. Also grows and overcomes by the blood of Christ, the word of the testimonies of the saints. Not being connected to the body is like cutting off life support.

Father, today my prayer is for all to understand that we  are all needed in the body of Christ. I pray You bring understanding and wisdom to all on which part they are in this body. Jesus, we are thankful for Your sacrifice to make this body/church happening. AMEN

So long and good bye, until next time and don't forget to leave your prayer request.

Now offering 'PRAYER TIME'

In order to connect with my readers even better, I would like to offer

'PRAYER TIME'

here on this blog.

Please leave your prayer requests in the comment section and I will pray for you. Believing that the prayer of a righteous man prevailed much....I believe that God is eager to answer our prayers.

And please also leave your Praise reports too. It will be encouraging to read all answers to prayers.

Fear.....NOT!

We all have been afraid of something in our lifetime. Those "shadows" which scare us, implying that danger is right in front of us.

But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. Psalm 103:17-18

This kind of fear is not that kind of fear which comes from the darkness of life. This kind of fear is a reverent kind of fear. Respecting and reverencing God in all of His ways. Giving yourself over to God in order to receive protection and all benefits available to us.

To be afraid is a whole other matter, entirely. There is such a thing as a "healthy" kind of being afraid. It is more a warning light going off in our brain. Making us aware of a "something not quite right" situation.
This next scripture, my favorite of all times. Why? Because it has set me free from being afraid of most things. I could literally see the right hand of God extended with me on it.  I used to have phobias of all kinds. Being bound by fear is a terrible state to be in!

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

When I read this verse and had this supernatural revelation of what that means to me, I just started shaking off these unrealistic fears and began to walk in truth and boldness. Boldness against the lies of the enemy and induced by the cooperation of people. Yes, supernatural! Jesus truly set me free and no longer do I have those fears. Once we are free we are truly free!

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. John 4:18

It is in Love...it is in Him who is love: JESUS; that there is not fear.

See when we do not deal with our fears in the ways of God, we are opening the doors to the enemy and allowing him to invade our life. This causes not only consequences to ourselves but to the ones around us; the ones we come in contact with. It will bring destruction by lashing out in fear. Believing there is a treat when it is not so. Causing division in the Body of Christ.

Friend, allow Jesus to set you free. So you can be free in Christ, to be the manifested Love of God to all around you.

If you are asking: "How can I be free?" please feel free to leave a comment/prayer request and I will respond.

Good bye and farewell, until next time.

Godly giving has no strings attached.

Giving....is it real giving or does our giving have strings attached? When we give to others do we expect something in return? Do we get upset when our giving is not met with fulfilled expectations from the receiver? Do we expect he receiver to fulfill our 10 item task list, now that we have given?

Giving has to be an act of selfless, heartfelt doing. Christ gave His life for us though we where yet sinners. He gave His life, died for us even though we where still filled with sin and acted immoral, selfish etc.

We have a choice to give. We can say NO. But when we say yes we have to do it with our whole heart. Giving to others is for us....yes for us. We are rewarded for giving to others, when no strings are attached. I am not saying give and pour out your pearls before the swine. But give and let God deal with the result to the receiver.

There is a big difference between giving and enabling. And we should know the difference. But at the same time, if we listen to the fear tactics of the enemy or we are holding on to unforgiveness toward a person in previous times, being taken advantage off by that person, we are hurting ourselves. The enemy loves to wisper into our ear, telling us how undeserving that receiver is. Or how this person we attempt to give to is not fulfilling our expectations and we shouldn't give.  It will destroy a friendship and swings the door wide open for satan to come into the giver's life. Often those who have sin in their life, accuse others of sin. Accusation and lies are from the father of lies and the accuser of the brothers.

So give with a heart of gladness and a will to help. Don't harden your heart toward the person you give but allow God to bring the good result for giver and receiver. And don't make the receiver feel welcome when in fact as giver we are ready to blow, not getting the desired expectation in return.

Father, we ask today that your will be done, in the giver's life as well as in the receiver's life. AMEN

When it is my will....and not Yours Lord

Hello, friends and readers. It's been a while....

Today, one more tricky and uncomfortable subject. What happens when we put ourselves into situation of our own will. Believing God is leading us but really, He isn't? Well the word rebellion comes to mind.

- an act of violent or open resistance to an established government or ruler;
- the action or process of resisting authority, control, or convention

History has shown that rebellion can be something of value and can bring freedom from tyranie, abuse of certain people groups and so on.

But in this context, I am speaking of rebellion against God. Before looking at what kind of consequences this can bring to one's life, lets see which character in the Bible stands out as rebel. We can make decisions to create, allow or neglect something in our life which has its foundation in negative emotions. And not based on God's wisdom and plan.

...The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.

There were so many negative consequences to this decision for Jonah and the people he came in contact with. Threat of ship wreck, needless suffering of the people of Nineveh prolonged etc. Not to mention the absence of peace. At the end Jonah repented, returned to complete God's will and understood.

Next and the most important example of rebellion against God: Adam and Eve in the Garden, loosing everything. Gaining the understanding of pain and loss. Having opened the door to evil for all of us.

Why then does God allow us to make wrong choices? Because He is a gracious, loving God and He has our long term well being in mind. He allows us to eventually make the right decision to turn away from our rebellious nature and to turn to Him, if we choose so. Turning to His Wisdom and Will brings us great blessings and peace. He longs for us to spend eternity with Him and not to be separated from Him in hell for eternity!

In my own life, I can look back now and see the rebellious moments in my life. Thank God for His faithfulness to help me to turn away from my own understanding and my rebellious nature. The reasons for rebellion are vast and most always found in pain and pressure, put upon us. So why not turn to this loving God who can heal us and mend the pieces of our hearts and souls,  broken apart by life. Jesus' body was broken and beaten for our healing and peace.

My prayer today: Father, help us to think....before making any decision. Help us to submit our thoughts, life to You. Only to gain peace and all blessings from heaven.

Farewell and good bye until next time.
