When the going gets rough, who to do call?

We all have experienced rough times, even dark times at some point in life. But what do we do when a problem arises?

I was often told that my faith should send me immediately on my knees and cry out to God. Well in general, this is absolutely correct. But let's be real. We don't always do that. I am honest enough to say: God is not always the first coming to my mind when I find myself in a pickle. But He  is not angry with me if He is not. Faith and trust in God is something that has to be developed and the greatest attack I find, is when we are judged by others by our inabilities rather abilities. The word says that we are showing by our fruit whether we are true Followers of Christ. But it does not say that we have to have all of our fruit together in a basked all the time.

What I mean by that is: that we grow and grow and grow. We are made perfect in Christ' image every day. We are developing into the one who we are called to be daily. And therefore, we are sometimes not acting full of faith. Sometimes, we need the faith of another to lift us up. And not condemnation from others. But lets make sure we are not the ones condemning neither.

That is why the church, the body of Christ is so important. We need each other, whether we believe it or not.

Along my ways and adventures with God, I have had some wonderful people/friends helping me when I was down. When I could not see the light and neither God. The Israelites did not hear from God at one point for 400 years.....yikes at least it did not take that long from me to hear during the dark times.

Father: Help us to be truly the light to others, when their days are dark. Remind us to shine bright in areas that we are steadfast in faith and trust in You, to help others in their weak moments. Sharing the goodness of God and being a beacon of the Solid Rock, Christ.

So long for today and may your ways be blessed.

What's the point?

The point of God healing our soul and preserving it is, so that we can respond correctly to pressures of life. Not in a worldly way but in a holy way, such as He is. Such healing will not prevent pressure to come to us but will give us a cleaned up platform to relearn. Just as Paul says: by the renewing of our mind" how to respond correctly to pressure from the world.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

When we are born naturally, we are supposed to learn appropriate behavior and responses. Some of us, actually many of us, never learn those proper behaviors. Because of broken family structures.  Therefore we walk with what I call a tainted screen in front of our eyes. Perceiving pressure, people and most situations incorrectly.
If I perceive danger, I respond accordingly. This danger may very well be danger from a childhood experience and not a current danger. But because this childhood danger has not been dealt with appropriately, we continue to perceive the same danger happening over and over. And even if something bad has happened the day before. If not dealt with it appropriately, it can produce a stumbling block for our future.

For example: if a person today treats us unkind we may re-live a situation form our childhood. We should have been getting over it and through this by processing it appropriately; but if we don't it will fester and continue to influence us in a negative way. This terrible moment in time can create a root of bitterness and create additional fear, resentment and/or anger. Instead of forgiving this person and moving on with our live. we get stuck. As children we are mostly not able to handle these traumatic situation and once being an adult we put it away and try to cope with the symptoms. Hence, so many addicts unable to deal with their emotional pain.

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. Isaiah 43:18

I so often do not think, I am not worth bothering with, as rebellious as my nature is. But God thinks otherwise. When I am lost, He finds me. When I am in a hole of despair, He gives me hope. And it is not about what I can do for myself but what He can do for me. It is about how He can heal, deliver, defend us and more. It is about HIM!

And what He has done is healed my soul to the point that I now can process, with the mind of Christ all danger, evil and malice attempt of the enemy in my life. I now can turn to God and get my need met from Him instead of looking to myself or other people. I have put the past where it belongs: IN THE PAST!!

But don't be fooled. This is an ongoing process, every minute passing is the past and can trip us up. I have not reached the end of this life and until then, I am in danger to let my soul and (fleshly) mind respond incorrectly. Therefore, I have to be submitted to Christ and His healing power daily, able to sustain me in every attempt from the enemy to destroy my life. Being able to hold up the Shield of faith, shielding me from the fiery darts of the enemy. And forgive people 7 X 70 daily. As the word says.

But because of God's love for me, He is always there to catch me when I fall and stumble. Even in my darkest hour.

Father, in our darkest hour help us to give ourselves to You. Cleanse us, heal us and help us to always be quick in forgiving others. Help us to submit to Your will and to Christ' Love. To receive the crowns of life in the end. Let Your Grace wash over us and makes us a new creation, leaving the past behind. Not hindering Your wonderful Love to be received by us.

Leaving you with much Joy, be blessed and prosper.

He alone, by himself

My Earring Story, March 9, 2017

Years ago I purchased a set of earrings and one broke shortly after. I really liked them, they where my favorite in color.
I kept them, being tempted to throw them away. But, I thought, I may be able to get them fixed. And so I kept them for years.

On March 9, 2017, I looked for which earrings I could wear and discovered that my favorite, broken earring was fixed!!. Nobody touched them, nobody even knew they where broken. God fixed them for me.
Then coming home from church service that day, I discovered that I had lost one. I was upset, saying: God I cannot believe I lost the earring that you fixed for me. I looked everywhere and could not find it. Then the next day, I found the missing earring in the car in front of the pedals on the floor, clearly visible. So why did I not see them before when I looked twice?

I believe this is the moral to this story: God fixes the broken souls, he finds them even if the get lost again. (The parable of the one lost sheep)
What a miracle He performed for me with these earrings, for me to see His heart's desire toward us. And he takes care what is near to our heart.
And He can do it all by Himself! Yes He wants to use the body of Christ to spread the Good News and to take care of His people. But He can and will do all what is needed by Himself if necessary.

My prayer today: Let us allow You oh God to fix our souls and restore our minds. Even if we fall again and again, save us by Your Mercy oh faithful God.

Allow Him to be what you really need and I say good bye until next time.

Who is with Me?

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. Luke 9:23-24

This passage is a deep statement. And it can become a sermon for weeks. Well, to me it has a very special meaning. I remember one fine day, when I heard God's voice clearly saying: "Are you ready to do whatever it takes to change the life of your children and the direction and outcome of the generations to come?"

I signed up in a heartbeat and like a school girl raised my hand high. Would I have known what I am signing up for, never would I have volunteered!

But all gifts from God are without repentance and this gift was the best ever.  The gift of redemption. My life redeemed and further more the life of the generations to come. I felt a bit like Abraham.
In essence, God asked me to walk through fire, hell and pain to accomplish this task. Of course I had no idea.

It has been a good 23 years of walking through the dessert of my life. When a call of God has set you apart from this world, it is to get to know His ways and Him. To know the suffering of Christ and the resurrection of dead spirits. This week is Holy Week, mourning and celebrating Christ' cruzifiction and resurrection. One of the most important tasks anyone could ever accomplish.

Laying your life down and follow Christ....there is a mouth full. But I came to see that by laying down my life, He brought newness to my life. All the ugly cracks and spaces covered by webs of poison had been exchanged to life and beauty. By His precious blood shed on Calvary.

The goal to become a disciple of Christ is the highest goal for us to reach. Running the race of pursuing His will for our life is what keeps us safe. Laying down our understanding of how life should be and stepping into His appointed purpose and will for us, demonstrates moments we could never even imagine and showing us His power and supernatural intervention.

On the flipside, we are asked to pick up our cross daily. Really? Dying to ourselves? Yes. That is what it means to lay down our life's expectations and follow His will for our lives, to make a supernatural impact on this world.

I have been experiencing so many supernatural moments and it never gets old.

For example: One day, I was going to pay my electric bill. I called the company and asked how much exactly I did owe. The answer was: "Nothing, the bill is already paid!" I did not tell anyone that I did not have the money to pay this bill and did not know how to pay it. But God did, all by himself.

At other times, He has been my defender when I was caught up in a lie or accusation made by others toward me and where untrue.
He answers before we even ask.

He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He did not stop to intervene in a supernatural way in our lives. When we are disciples of Christ, we will see tremendous things/provision.

My prayer today: Father, show us what Your will is for us and help us to become a true disciple of Christ. Show us Your kindness and supernatural provision.

Farewell and good bye until next time.

Puzzle Pieces

Isn't that the truth?!

We are those small pieces in the body of Christ that make a great impact by taking our place. To take our place, we have to let God shape the path and restore us in the meantime. Only with true Freedom in Christ can we fulfill ALL that God has for us. And all that we are to bring to others in blessing and us as a gift.

Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle.
Lewis Carroll

We are a Masterpiece of God. Created in His image. To love Him with all of our heart and might. And we are that puzzle piece that is shaped perfectly into the picture of how the Body of Christ looks like.

Who wants to receive a tainted, foul smelling, filthy gift? No one! And to become the gift God made us to be. We need to take steps in order to be that sweet smelling, aromatic, pleasant gift to those who are not in their place yet.

True Freedom in Christ brings us a path of a prospering soul and therefore, we are able to bring prosperity to others, whose souls still need to heal and be set free as well.

My prayer today: Jesus, set us free indeed. Help us to be the gift you have intended for us to be.

More to come, until then .... farewell and good bye.

Nothing New in this World

When we are young, we believe that this world is just the way we see it. Almost like, when people believed the world made you fall off it, once coming to the outer end. Our world view is so small and limited. We are having limited knowledge and understanding. We are literally ignorant.

The Bible says that we need to come to God as children. Why is that?

[ The Little Children and Jesus ] People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18:15-17

The last sentence is a very strong statement considering that it speaks of our ability to enter the Kingdom of God. As children we should inherit the estate of our parents, we don't purchase or earn that in the sense of performing to receive. As children we are also belonging to our parents. We are not separated by birth but we belong by birth. As children of God we are adopted into the Kingdom of God, nevertheless, no less  than being born again by the Spirit.

So as children, we are supposed to belong. As children we don't understand the divisive methods of the enemy wanting to separate us from the Love of our Father in Heaven for eternity.
There is nothing new in this world, which could be done or produced to accomplish this goal by the enemy. Jesus has paid the price for all sins and experiences men/women could ever have; from the time of conception to the end of life itself.

Our view is distorted/limited to us in our years of childhood and youth, but nevertheless, our Father has the overall view and is not limited to what He can see for us in our lifetime. Jesus' death and resurrection has paved the way for us to tap into the view God has for us. His wisdom, view and experiences are freely available to us.

So, no...there is nothing new in this world that we should face and could not by the Grace, Power, Love and Mercy of our great Father, through Jesus His beloved son, overcome. We can face anything and see it be turned into beauty.

My prayer today: Father, by Your marvelous Spirit help us to change our view, to see what You see. To know what You know. Help us to receive You in Your fullness and run after Your heart with all that we have.

Enjoy this world God gives to you and farewell until next time.
